Language for Teaching: B1

Language for Teaching: B1 is suitable for 

  • junior teachers
  • teachers with little or no experience
  • primary and secondary teachers
who want to improve their English to reach CEFR Level B1

After completing the course, participants can prepare for Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary and TKT Modules 1-3

TKT: Module 1

This module tests your knowledge of:

  • terms and concepts of English language teaching
  • factors underpinning the learning of English
  • a range of materials, tasks and activities for English language teaching.

TKT: Module 2

This module tests your knowledge of:

  • the knowledge and skills you need to plan lessons
  • the types of assessment and resources that can guide your lesson planning.

TKT: Module 3

This module tests your knowledge of:

  • teachers’ and learners’ language
  • classroom management.

TKT: Young Learners

This module tests your knowledge of:

  • learning and development in young learners
  • the strategies and skills required to teach young learners aged 6–12 years
  • lesson planning, the activities and resources needed to support young learners
  • lesson delivery and assessment in young learner contexts.
